A community bound together by a common faith in the God of the Bible, looking forward to the return of Jesus Christ and the establishment of God's Kingdom on earth.
Join Us This SundayA community of believers seeking to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, find forgiveness and the hope of eternal life through his saving work, and share the Bible’s hope of the coming Kingdom of God.
The name "Christadelphian" simply means "Brothers and Sisters in Christ". We are a worldwide community of believers who look to the Bible as our sole authority for faith and practice.
At the heart of our faith is the good news that, through Jesus Christ, we can receive forgiveness, have peace with God, and look forward to eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
Jesus faced many trials and temptations but never sinned against God. He is the only human being ever to have lived a completely sinless life, and because of this God raised him from the dead, never to die again.
We also believe that the story does not end there. The Bible teaches in many places that Jesus will return to the earth to raise the dead and to establish God’s Kingdom, bringing a time of righteousness, peace and justice. In the meantime, we seek to follow his teaching in our daily lives and to grow in faith, love and service.
We do not have a paid ministry or central hierarchy. Instead, our members voluntarily contribute their time and talents to support our worship, Bible teaching, Sunday school and other activities.
Our faith is rooted entirely in the Bible - the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. We believe it reveals God’s purpose with the earth, the work of Jesus Christ, and the hope he offers to men and women.
We believe there is one God, the Creator of the universe and the source of all life. He is eternal, all-powerful and perfectly wise, loving and just.
The Bible reveals Him as a personal God who wants men and women to know Him and to share in His purpose.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born as a human being and sharing our human nature. He experienced temptation and suffering, yet never sinned against God.
He willingly gave his life for us, and God raised him from the dead to eternal life.
Through Jesus, God offers us forgiveness, peace with Him, and the hope of eternal life.
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word. It is a unique book, written over many centuries by different human authors, yet Scripture itself is described as “God-breathed”.
God worked through those writers to communicate His message, giving the Bible a consistent purpose and message from beginning to end.
It teaches us about God, explains His purpose with the world, shows us the way to salvation through Jesus Christ, and shows us how to live fulfilling, meaningful, God-centred lives today. For this reason, we look to the Bible rather than human traditions or church authorities as the foundation of our beliefs.
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to the earth. At his return he will establish the Kingdom of God and rule over the nations from Jerusalem.
The Bible describes this as a future time when God’s ways will be known throughout the earth and when righteousness, justice and peace will replace all suffering and conflict experienced in the world today. Ultimately, even death will be removed.
We believe that death is an unconscious state rather than a continuation of conscious existence elsewhere. The Bible therefore places our hope not in an immortal soul, but in resurrection from the dead.
When Jesus returns, those whom God raises will be brought before him, and those who are accepted will receive eternal life and share in the blessings of God’s Kingdom.
We believe that a person should first hear and understand the good news of the Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ, respond to it in faith, and then be baptised by full immersion in water.
Baptism marks the beginning of a new life of discipleship. Men and women are called to follow Jesus in everyday life — to keep his commandments, to respect his teaching about who God is and how He should be worshipped, to uphold his standards of personal morality, and to show care and compassion towards others.
Jesus summarised this way of life by quoting from the Old Testament: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind,” and, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”
This was how Jesus lived, and our aim is to try our best to live in a way that reflects his teaching and example.
